Opening an Amish made furniture store in Culpeper Va. May 16, 2003 was a natural for us. We had operated our own wood shop in Madison County Va. for several years producing products for the Plow and Hearth Catalog Company. Western Red Cedar wood products from a quality birdhouse to outdoor benches were produced. With many of our wildlife products endorsed by foundations such, as the Bat Conservation International and The Bluebird Society. 

With our knowledge of wood products we have found quality Authentically Amish Crafted wood shops in the Lancaster Pa. area that create furniture to standards that we would put in our own office and home. From Office to Dining Room to Bedroom or even the occasional piece such as entertainment centers, you will find it here in this website to suit your needs. Amish furniture use to be known as having just the country or shaker look and mainly unfinished pine. In the last couple of decades the Amish craftsmen have expanded into hardwoods and finishing. The Amish craftsmen now also produce furniture in the mission, traditional and transitional styles. The furniture is solid wood; there is no particle board in any of the furniture sold by us. It took nearly three years to find the 40+ different Amish wood shops represented in the store and website. We now have over an 15 year personal relationship with many of the Amish craftsman. The Amish craftsman uses the skills and pride from their up bringing to create quality furniture you can't find in most stores and websites. All of the hardwood furniture offered has dovetail drawers and even the cabinet sides are made of solid wood. You can also get that specific item modified or custom made for you. Many of the craftsmen sign and date the furniture items they make along with giving a long guarantee. Amish Furniture Connections offers Cherry, Oak, Quarter Sawn white Oak, Maple and Pine woods with many shades of stain colors available.
